Winter in Finland

“There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes”

If you think you have seen snow, if you think have seen cold winter, think again. Unless you have visited Finland in winter, you haven’t seen winter in its full glory. Starting towards the end of November, the whole of north and eastern Finland gets blanketed by pure white snow, which gives the whole landscape a surreal mystical appearance. The dry continental climate here makes it more bearable than the damp cold of central Europe. Finland is one place where you can go out riding huskies even when the thermometer shows a petrifying -20 or -30 degree Celsius. Finns are so used to this kind of weather, so everything runs smoothly and punctually. If you are dressed properly, there is no other place like Finland to enjoy all the glorious winter sports in one place.

  • Booking has to be done preferably 4 months before the date of commencement of the trip to ensure the prices quoted in the package, booking of igloo and other activities as it is high season and chances are high that activities and accommodation options may get sold out.
  • Accommodations and exact day of adventure activities could vary depending on the number of travelers and date of travel. Final details will be provided only after number of travelers in the group is confirmed.
  • Itinerary is flexible and can be custom-made based on interest of the travelers
  • It would be hard to find Indian food options in Lapland, so we encourage the travelers to make the best of this opportunity and enjoy the Nordic cuisine and Lappish delicacies.
  • We have done an extensive gastronomic scout of the area and have very good recommendation for lunch and dinner. Also possible to develop a full board package after specific consultation
  • Things to bring your own :- Thermal long underlayer (wool/polyester) Polyester/wool jogging pants Cotton clothes are not recommended as it holds moisture and not the best for Lapland winter weather For taking proper photos in darkness, you can bring along the tripod for your camera.
