During the icebreaker cruise, we will witness the massive ice-breaking power of the vessel, have a guided tour down to the engine rooms and all way up to Captain’s bridge, and have the thrilling experience of floating amongst the frozen ice chunks in the Arctic Sea. Breakfast What better way to travel to Santa Claus than in a sleigh pulled by a reindeer? Lapland is well-known for Santa Claus and his reindeer. What a great way to see both by taking a reindeer safari to Santa Claus Village! Sitting in a sleigh pulled by reindeer, we’ll journey from the Reindeer Farm to Santa’s Village along the snowy trails of a wintry forest. In the village, we’ll have free time to meet Santa in his office, send postcards from the Santa Claus Main Post Office, and explore handicrafts, design, and souvenir shops. Awarded a Reindeer Driving License and a Diploma for Crossing the Arctic Circle, this is an experience we won’t forget. Return to the accommodation. Dinner (included) In the evening, we get to embark on an electric snowmobile Aurora expedition, the latest fad in the thrilling snowmobile expeditions in the Arctic. We will experience the most adrenaline-pumping way to explore the Arctic wilderness and hunt for the Northern lights. We will make photo stops and will also enjoy warm refreshments as our guide tells us stories about our unique nature and culture in Lapland in a Lappish hut over opefire

In the afternoon, set off for an exhilarating long husky safari through the Arctic wilderness, immersing in the peace and tranquility of Lappish nature, mushing our own team of dogs. Experience the excitement of the dogs as they eagerly wait to pull us at a speedy pace through the breathtaking Lappish scenery. After an early dinner, in the evening (the exact time will be informed closer to the tour, based on the auroral forecast), we will be whisked off for an exclusive private Aurora experience with an aurora expert guide who will do everything possible to find the auroras for you. The tour lasts up to 6 hours, which allows driving very far (up to 200km around Rovaniemi) to find clear sky and observe the auroras. Driving far might be the only way to find northern lights, especially when the weather is challenging in Rovaniemi. By staying out for a longer time, you also get the opportunity to see more in the sky and will not miss any Northern lights if they appear late in night! Your guide will be equipped with a professional camera, specifically designed for low-light photography.

Driving a team of huskies over the white, shimmering fells is an exhilarating experience that is almost mandatory during a trip to Lapland. Sense the feeling of freedom as we breathe in the fresh winter air, leaving paw prints behind on the snowy trails. The eager dogs run at full speed and the sled glides effortlessly over the snowdrifts with the skids hissing softly. The lead dog turns to look at you at a crossroads – right of left? Mush! This is an experience that you will never forget! In the evening, a private transfer is arranged to take us to the Arctic Snow Village, an incredible work of snow and ice art complete with an ice restaurant and ice hotel, built from scratch every year on different themes. We would explore the breathtaking ice and snow structures, followed by a unique dinner experience in an exceptional setting of ice and snow. Enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner experience at ice tables and chairs in the enchanting ice restaurant!
